Irish and Celtic Readings

There are many different Irish and Celtic readings and poems that you can use to add special meaning to your ceremony. Here are a couple of examples.

Traditional Irish Blessing (Short)
May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your home,
The rains fall soft upon your fields.
And the light of friendship guide your paths together,
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

He Wishes for the Cloths of Heaven
Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
